Tony Balazs

I am a teacher of science and maths, from UKS2 (year 4/5) to A Levels. I work full time in a secondary school in North London and I also tutor. In the school I teach GCSE and A Level science. I have worked as a science teacher and a department head.

I prepare children for 11+ and 13+ exams, as well as for GCSE and A Level exams. I also support children who need some additional help with their schooling.

Many of the children I work with are struggling in the education system because of specific learning difficulties like dyslexia, ADHD or ASD. I have also worked as a counsellor and psychotherapy supervisor. Helping children who are finding it hard to cope with the challenges of a mainstream schooling environment is a particular interest and passion of mine.

I also really enjoy working with gifted and more able students, to stretch them and challenge them. One of the best things about tutoring is that you can cater to the level and needs of the individual, to ensure each student is working at their own pace and you can be part of helping them to achieve their personal goals.
