English Literature (A*), Economics (A*), and History (A) at A-level. Bachelor of Arts in English with a 1st, ranking in the top 15% of my year, Cambridge University.

My tutoring experience is mainly focussed mainly on English. I teach English from 10+ to A Level. I am very experienced with the AQA, OCR, and EdExcel specifications for English Language and English Literature, at GCSE and A-level. I also teach mathematics and the sciences at primary level to GCSE level. At 11+ I teach English, maths and reasoning.

I am very proud to have successfully worked with A-level students to attain offers from prestigious U.K. universities such as the University of York and Cambridge University. I have also successfully worked with SEN students, leading to consistently improved grades at GCSE. I really enjoy support SEN students of all ages. Additionally, I have previously mentored students on university applications, entrance exams, and Oxbridge interviews.

I believe in a personal and tailored approach to tuition. My primary aim with many of my students is to encourage self-confidence, since this is often the key to successful, long- term development. In my view, the hallmark of effective tuition is that it facilitates a student to reach conclusions by themselves and guides them towards truly independent learning, rather than simply prescribing information or perspectives.

I have an excellent grasp on the current realities of the classroom and the demands of preparing for university. I am also aware of the pressure that can often arise with aspirations of academic progress, and so I always strive to create a relaxed, safe atmosphere in my sessions, where my students and I can think clearly together.

During my time as a tutor, I have worked with students of all levels of ability, and from a variety of backgrounds. Additionally, I have been able to help and guide students at a variety of crucial points along their educational paths, from exam season stress, to implementing realistic and effective revision schedules during term-time, to university entrance applications. I am happy to adapt to the demands of tutoring both online and in-person, and I am especially keen to share the fruits of my own educational background. I am passionate about music and literature. I also run frequently, and I am currently writing a book.
