I teach 7+ and 11+ English, maths and reasoning; I help with university applications and interviews, and I also have over a year of experience teaching English as a foreign language to both children and adults.
Throughout my time at university I acted as a tutor and mentor to first year students within my department, helping students improve their essay writing skills. I have a great awareness of university requirements both prior to and post application. As well as tutoring, I have over five years of nannying experience for primary school aged children. This has given me a great insight into the school curriculum requirements of each age group and how to foster engagement with homework in new creative ways, to adapt to the needs of each child. I have experience tutoring both online and in person, so I know how to make my lessons as engaging as possible using technology.
I am a focused and committed tutor who strives to make the lessons as fun and varied as possible. My aim as a tutor is to create a learning environment where I can inspire confidence in my students. I tailor my lessons to the students’ individual strengths and interests, both focusing curriculum and beyond. I love tutoring as I love sparking creativity in learning. It is always so rewarding seeing the progress of my students!
