I have been working as a tutor for Hyde Tutoring since 2019. Over the years I have taught many students. I have taught maths to both primary and secondary aged pupils.
I teach maths and science up to A Level. I have taught many of the Hyde Tutoring revision courses, preparing students for 7+, 8+, 10+ and 11+ exams, for Hyde Tutoring and I have taught many students 1:1 too. I am very experienced at preparing students for exams and my knowledge of the exam processes and expectations is particularly strong.
I enjoy working with children who are struggling with maths. It is really rewarding to take a child who believes they can’t do maths to being a child who enjoys maths once they have that light bulb moment!
I began academic tutoring part-time, both online and face to face, at university. After university, I was lucky enough to be placed on an Erasmus+ fully funded placement for 3 months, where I taught English as a foreign language to Adults in Seville, Spain and gained my TEFL qualification, where I carried on tutoring part-time online. Furthermore, I have been teaching gymnastics to children since I was 15! After university I started working in an independent school and then I started specialising in maths and science tuition. So it feels like teaching is something I have always done and will always do!
I am an enthusiastic and friendly person and will encourage all my students to perform to the best of their abilities while having fun learning. I have the patience and ability needed to connect with my students and to find the best way to improve their understanding; each session is fully tailored to the individual student.
