Level 6 Diploma in Professional Acting from the Oxford School of Drama. One-Year Foundation Diploma, LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). A-Levels: English Literature (A), Theatre Studies (B), Performing Arts (A), and ASC French.
I teach all primary aged children in both English and maths. I mainly work with children who need additional support alongside school. I also work with students preparing for entrance exams: I teach all subjects (English, maths and reasoning) to 7+ and 8+; at 10+ and 11+ I mainly teach English.
I also have over seven years of experience in the Performing Arts. I have worked at a stage school throughout that time and I’ve provided private coaching for young children preparing for professional auditions with companies such as Netflix and Disney. Whether I am teaching students academic or creative subjects, I endeavour to bring creativity into my lessons.
I offer a warm, calming and gentle presence and am skilled at building rapport with my students from the outset. Prior to teaching students, I spent some time working as a nanny which deepened my understanding of the empathy needed to support students through academic challenges. I believe in a firm but fair approach, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. As a creative problem solver, I integrate creativity into my lessons through interactive activities like games and visual stimuli. I believe that creativity can be a transformative tool, particularly for students who need extra support or new ways to engage with academia.
My time as a teacher has equipped me with a diverse skill set to mentor, guide, and support students at every stage of their learning—something I am deeply proud of. Whether working toward an exam like the 11+ or building confidence in areas like spelling, maths or creative writing, I tailor my approach to meet each student’s unique needs. I want to help them achieve their full potential.
I am also comfortable tutoring both in-person and online, adapting my sessions to make the most of each setting. In either case, I aim to provide an engaging experience that supports the student’s growth. Above all, I genuinely care about seeing young people thrive and I am honoured to be a part of their learning journey.
