I started my tutoring journey when I began my A2 Level education, starting as a Maths tutoring assistant. Finding a sense of fulfilment and achievement, I continued to broaden my horizon into the field of tutoring. At KS2 I teach a lot of students for 10+ and 11+ exams for grammar and independent schools in South West London. For 10+ and 11+ exams, as well as maths, I also teach English and reasoning. At secondary school level I teach maths, Economics and Business, from year 7 to A Levels.
I’ve had the challenge of working with numerous students, all of whom have different skill sets and academic goals. I have experience with various examination syllabi, including IGCSE and ISEB. I am experienced in adapting between online and in-person teaching methods and finding various teaching methods to best engage students.
As I was personally once a recipient of tutoring in Maths, I understand the importance of continuous encouragement, support, and independent thinking from tutors. It is the same encouragement, support, and independent thinking that provided me with a sense of adoration and fondness for learning and especially mathematics and I aim to pass this enthusiasm onto my students.
